Born in 1963
in Recife, Brazil, Romero Britto is one of the world's
youngest and most successful pop artists. His instantly
recognisable works are currently featured in more than
100 galleries worldwide.
Famous collectors range from Arnold Schwarzenegger
to Elton John, Andre Agassi to Bill Clinton. His bold
designs have also been sought by companies such as Pepsi
and Absolut Vodka. Romero's work reflects the warmth
and optimism of life, and he feels that 'art is too
important not to share'.
Romero is passionate about helping others. He has donated
a number of pieces for auction in aid of ABC, as well
as offering the unique opportunity for a sitting and
original personal portrait. In 2007, Romero founded
the Britto Foundation to help children and organisations
around the world. |
