Losing a family member, friend, partner or colleague is one of the toughest experiences to go through. One positive way to celebrate and honour the life of someone you love is by making a donation in their memory or setting up a special memorial fund to which others can contribute.

Your contribution will make an enormous difference to the lives of many street children in Brazil by helping to provide essential resources as well as care and support.

If you would like to discuss this in more detail and to receive information about our work please do not hesitate to contact us.

The Lily Hastings-Bass Memorial Fund

Lily’s Fund has been set up to honour the memory and spirit of a young woman who sadly died in December 2006, after being hit by a car in Dublin. Lily Hastings-Bass was only 20 years old.

Prior to starting at Dublin University, Lily had traveled around Latin America, for a year. Along the way she lost her heart to Brazil and was already making plans to return after her studies.

Lily’s parents, John and Sophie Hastings-Bass, and her sister, Alice, felt that the ABC Trust would have been a place that their daughter would have strongly connected with through her interest in film and music. Lily's memorial fund with the ABC Trust was consequently set up.

There have already been many generous gifts – and other activities are being planned. John and Sophie have visited some of our projects in Brazil and we are now in the process of making decisions about how to best use the money raised.

If you would like to contribute to Lily's Fund please visit the Justgiving webpage specially set up to receive donations in her name:
